Ordering / Pricing
art251 displays prices for all the art on display in our gallery next to each work. We don’t hide our prices, and we don’t offer different prices to different customers. We don’t (yet) publish our prices on our website. But, if you see a work you like online, please give art251 a call and we’ll be happy to give you any information that you wish about a piece of art. Sometimes you may see work on display without a price. This just means the work is newly arrived, and we haven’t had time to print the wall price labels yet. So, in this case please ask one of the friendly art251 owners.
Pay Now / Pay Later
We own art. We like others to own art. While we believe original art is a great bargain, we try to make purchasing as simple and painless as possible. So, we have a plan to suit. You can purchase a piece of art and pay for it monthly over a period of 3-6 months, with no interest. Or, you can order up a lease / purchase plan. For a low monthly payment, usually in the 3-5 percent of the total price, and a small additional fee you can lease / purchase art over a 12-24 month period. For more details on this, check out our art lease / purchase page.
We work with all our artists to set prices that we believe are fair to you (the customer), the artist and us. We keep a pulse on market conditions and demand for an artist’s work to help us gauge our prices, which we adjust periodically. As a result, we do not negotiate prices. We believe negotiation confuses our customers and often leaves a sour taste in the mouth of all involved. Also, negotiating over price diminishes the value of our exceptional artwork, which we believe is already fairly priced.
If you wish to purchase artwork you view online, please call or email us and ask to speak to one of the friendly owners. Currently we do not sell any artwork online, and recommend that you visit us to see the art in person — it always looks so much better in real-life. We are open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00am until 6:00pm, and by appointment. We are closed only on Monday and Sunday. We will provide you with any information that you may need as well as shipping and payment options. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, checks and cash.
What’s the Green Dot?
Sometimes you may see a work on display labeled with a large green dot, about the size of a dollar coin. The dot means that the work has been sold or is on reserve to be sold. During one of our regular monthly shows you may see a number of works with green dots. So although we’ve sold these works they will usually remain on display throughout the entire show. If you like one of these works, please ask the art251 staff, they may be able to find you a similar work or pursue a commission with the artist.
We ship to any location of your choice. Shipping charges vary per item and we customize the method of delivering your art purchase depending on its medium, size and destination. Generally, we us UPS and specialized fine art delivery firms that are highly experienced in safely transporting valuable works. We fully insure your purchase and you are not liable for the work until it has safely arrived at your location.
If for some reason you are not completely pleased with your purchase, you may return it to the gallery within 10 days from the date of purchase for a full refund of your purchase price. You pay only the shipping to and from your destination, and the refund for the purchased piece will be issued once the piece is received by us in good condition.
