Marnie Vollenhals is a natural born Illustrator.
Coming from a family of artists, which goes back generations from Italy, Marnie Vollenhals was surrounded by visual arts ever since she was a little girl. She grew up in Southern California, which has its own art culture in itself. It was in this environment where Marnie developed her artistic talent that enables her to meld different ideas and media in her Illustrations.
For the nine years Marnie worked as an Art Director for a high end furniture company. It was at this point in her life where she expanded her art ability and got to experience what it was like to run a business. From
attending trade shows, designing furniture, to training artists to paint in production, her skills have grown. Marnie also designed a line of kid’s art that is still being sold across the U.S. today.
More recently, with her husband David, and his job relocating them to Texas, Marnie started creating works of art in her spare time. Initially donating her work to local charities and organizations nationwide, she started to notice a following. So with the support of her husband and family, Marnie decided to jump into the industry again. But this time it was completely her own.
Marnie has a unique style that is completely different and unique in this industry. Her love of modern,
classic, and anything happy definitely shows in her style of work. Many of here recent pieces are painted for children, and from their perspective. Marnie’s works balance her keen sense of design with her skills of artistic composition.
Her most recent paintings of a group of animal friends, centered around Hawk the Dog, a dog with big dreams, is garnering a loyal following both locally and nationally.
