Bio
Dyanne Welch, creator of Carolyn D handcrafted designer jewelry, attributes her creative passion to her mother and sister, two extremely creative women. Her mom made all her patterns and clothes. Dyanne says she always wore beautiful clothes that were different from what anyone else wore and she loved it! Her sister made elegant clothing for all Dyanne’s dolls; giving her dolls an original unique wardrobe, not store bought. There is nothing these two women wouldn’t tackle from clothing, to draperies made on light weight home sewing machines to upholstering furniture! Her sister also taught Dyanne basic jewelry making skills.
With the same adventurous spirit and creative passion Dyanne spent 10 years operating an apparel company with another very creative woman in her life, her sister in law, who also happens to be her best friend.? Together they designed and manufactured gorgeous western show apparel, dressing equestrian women and children world wide.
The ember for jewelry making was still in her and was rekindled into a burning flame one day when Dyanne decided to share the day with her teenage granddaughter in a jewelry making class. Since that day, she has been making jewelry and taking classes in various mediums.

The Carolyn D collections of distinctive handcrafted designer jewelry include beautiful, unique pieces designed to set the wearer apart from the crowd. Whether rustic or sophisticated, each piece is unique, meticulously handcrafted and made from top quality materials, all made in her South Texas studio. Nature and her strong Christian faith can be seen in many of her pieces.
Dyanne’s greatest love is metal clay, a unique form of silver or gold that allows her to form and sculpt by hand, creating intricate pieces without the time and space required in traditional metalsmithing. She combines these silver and gold pieces with precious and semi precious stones, pearls, sterling silver, 14K gold, 18K gold and leather.
